This is one of the most exciting reviews I have been able to offer, as not only was I sent a sample, free of charge to review, but I also get to host not one, but TWO giveaways for bags.
For this giveaway the first place prize will be the Archer Sling Bag a $98 value (WINNER: Swati Dixit)
Second place will be a Piccolo Bag, a $68 value ( WINNER: Arlene Harding)
I showed the bags to a few of my grade 6/7 students and asked them about their initial reactions to the bags. Here is what the kids had to say about them:
“It’s comfortable, I think I could put everything into it.”
“It’s cute, good for travelling! I would take it on my class trip next week, can I?”
—— Me in response: “Sorry, No” (LOL kids right!?)
“I found this bag to be cool because of the design. It’s really light, made well. Good colours and design. If I had a laptop I could put it into here and would still be safe.”
“The fabric is pretty cool and looks like it would last a long time. It would be good for kids that don’t need to have a lot of stuff in it, because they are small.”
“Would be for younger kids who don’t have a big lunch or lots of textbooks.”
“Strongly built and well designed.”

Not ONLY am I giving one lucky follower this bag for free, but I am able to offer you ALL a 50% discount AND FREE shipping on this bag from their WEBSITE ($55.37). Use promo code ARCHER_50OFF
You can also purchase this on Amazon.ca (but will cost more total due to taxes and shipping $74.05 so get it from their site unless it becomes cheaper on Amazon!)
It has a 10L total capacity and is made from a durable water resistant material. One awesome feature is that you can change the sling from left to right handed in the back. The buckle is quite light weight, feeling somewhere between metal and plastic, but seems durable enough, and is very easy to switch it from one side to the other. There is also a built-in laptop/tablet pouch inside with lots of padding, so it will safely arrive at its destination. It only comes in black at this time, with gold accents.
The OTHER bag you could win is called a Piccolo. This bag comes in 4 different colours:
This one is also made of quite durable fabric, which is lightweight and waterproof. I forgot to mention that both have tags on them for a LIFETIME WARRANTY which is not something I have ever seen on any other bag in the past! This bag is half the size, with a 5L capacity, perfect for a younger child just starting school. There is a little Canadian flag stitched into the side and an adorable little beaver on the front pouch – reminding us of our Canadian Pride while using this bag.
On mine, I did find that the zipper was a hard to open and close, but that might be a rare defect since the other bags zipper was perfect and glided easily.
Check out my video below to see the ones I was sent to review for you!

Those are super cute! I like how it features 1 strap … that’s the way most people carry their bags anyways! Not often you see a backpack that has a lifetime warranty, pretty good deal in my opinion. Great review!

Thanks! I agree most of the kids use just one strap anyway. The black one would work for older kids, teenagers and even adults. With it on the tightest setting it actually fits me. My video is having technical difficulties. Lol

I love the pink one! It is super cute ❤ Lifetime warranty is not something I have often seen on backpacks and this has really caught my attention. Hope I win one, and if not I would definitely buy one for my daughter.

Good luck! I agree I can’t say I’ve ever seen a lifetime warranty on a bag before either which was pretty cool!
I love the blue one (but that’s my fav colour) I have the olive one here 🙂

I am so in love with this backpack. It is so super cute. I love how you got REAL reactions from kids about the bag. It seems like they all love it pretty well.

Yeah, the overall reaction was incredibly positive. I figure since I am with students all day they were the best ones to ask about them 🙂

Those are really cute! Sometimes I carry a backpack with one strap (I know I should not!). This looks perfect for that. Off to enter…

These bags are totally adorable. I wish they would have made them with only one strap when I was a kid. Having the reactions from the kids helps me to know what my kids might possibly think of them as well. Thank you!

You are very welcome, I thought that it might help. It was hard to get some of them to tell me what they thought, and I didn’t post all the duplicate comments (they hear one kid say something, then half of them repeat it… lol).
I remember getting in trouble using mine with only one — but it wasn’t balanced as nice as these do now that they are made this way. I LOVED that you could change the side too

These are really cute and quite pretty colors. No wonder it was so much popular with kids. The single sling design is great and lifetime warranty is awesome.

I love this bag. Seriously stinks the giveaway was only available for Canada. This would come in handy when we go to the zoo or something similar.

I know… I tried to ask if I could open it to my USA followers too, but unfortunately they cannot yet ship internationally. They DID say they will let me know though if that changes!!!
