Branching out… in the KITCHEN!

I have started a new home business through TupperWare Canada! If you would like to have an on-line TupperFUN Party through Facebook, or would like to place an order, just let me know.

I have an AMAZING mentor, so if you have any questions at all, post them below or on my NEW Facebook page:

Here are a few of the sales going on right now!!

BOTH are live right now until June 12th.

Sale til June 12

Sale til July 10

Also, there are AMAZING perks if you would like to join my team. My mentor is wonderful and supportive, and you can have $400 worth of products for as low as $30. You make 25% commission on your sales!

Start-up Business Pack

– for this price there are sale requirements. If you just want a ton of stuff, cheap; you can get all this for $110 ($30 up front, $80 two months later — you can still try for the sales).

Mandolin 2

They also have an offer right now, that when you sign up with the above business kit, you can buy this $95 Mandolin for only $25.

So far, I have signed a couple of awesome girls up to my team. I am so very excited about the concept of selling Tupperware. When you have most direct sale businesses, you need to give out all sorts of samples, in this case, you can show photo’s on Facebook or show people your containers, that you WILL use in your own kitchen. There is a LIFETIME warranty on their products. These are one of the BEST known products out there, with a VERY good company name.

They also offer fundraising, where your organization will receive 40% of the proceeds. Check out a couple pages of the fundraising flyer below!

2-3 Do Good Drinks

4-5 Kids Corner

10-11 Classy Classics

Going to also try this branch out thing again… apparently I’ve not signed up for this company, even though I did. Here’s hoping I have a new company to work with…apparently this didn’t work last time, so posting their picture link again

Animal Alphabet Search Ebook

This book is awesome for new and beginning readers. Not only is there letter recognition, but there is also counting and numbers up to thirteen. Children could also write how many animals there are on the page, either on a printed page of the book or a separate page. You could also use this book for animal recognition.

This would be perfect either for the stay at home mom, very young child up to preschool age I believe to help them with their alphabet and numbers. It could be used as just a read aloud book, or for a lesson in numbers and letters. (I just checked and the author has stated baby to 5 years of age – so we were on the same page there for ages!)

Pictures in this e-book range from computerized to hand drawn. While many look like clip art, and are not professionally drawn, I think young children will still love this book and won’t mind (as long as their adults can get past them). Here are a few examples of different pages from the book that was sent to me in PDF form, free of charge, in exchange for an honest review.

Edible Paints for Baby

This looks AWESOME, and with warmer weather finally on the way I wanted to share this with you all. I am planning to try this with Little Man soon, maybe in the kitchen since the deck is piled in snow still

So here is the low down on those edible paints I promised a few posts back. There are a lot of ways to make safe paints for babies to use/eat. Honestly, you could just buy some yogurt and put food coloring in it and Voila! We however decided to go the cornstarch and water route. We started off by using the recipe found in this awesome blog, but as she notes in her update some people found issues with consistency so this is the actual recipe that I went with:

1 cup Cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup boiling water

-Start by mixing the cornstarch and cold water.
If the last time you messed with cornstarch was in a middle school science project, note that this consistency is going to be extremely weird… just keep stirring until it is no longer powdery.

-Then add the boiling water.

Big Boys Sleep in their Own Beds

The story starts out with almost 4 year old Tommy, who is no longer a baby. He does a lot of things; like getting dressed and combing his hear all by himself.

But, last week he had a bad dream and now is having trouble sleeping, afraid to sleep alone. His dad tells him that big boys do not sleep in their parents’ bed, bringing him back to his own bed, staying with him until he falls asleep.

His                                                                                                              parents come up with a perfect solution, a sleeping friend! “I sleep in my bed, but I’m not alone. Funny Pally is here, so I’m not on my own.”

The author has rated this book from K-2 (ages 3-8) and I agree with this. There are many “I can” statements that repeat, with short, simple sentences for the most part, making this story ideal for younger, beginning readers. It could also be used by parents (or teachers) as a read aloud book.

This is a really cute story with great illustrations. It’s nice to finally see a book for boys, or at least with the main character a boy. Most of the books I’ve seen for younger children have all been for girls, unless it was a book about trucks and dinosaurs.

I think that is a young child was having issues sleeping at night, and their parents had similarly tried giving them a stuffed animal, this could really help them see it from another child’s perspective. It would also be great to show how a kindergarten child can do many things all by themselves. It could help other children overcome their fears!
