This rhyming story for little eyes and ears,
Is not the sort of story to fill you full of tears,
The monkey wants to have fun and play you see,
But his sense of adventure is scarier than climbing a tree!
A bucket of red paint and away he runs in a flash,
It’s all great fun until it ends in a splash,
A new way of fun must be taught,
Before more trouble can be sought,
Hide and seek, it turns out is a lot of fun,
But bedtime arrives with the setting of the sun!
Okay, so now that I’ve had my fun rhyming my review above, I want to let you know what I thought of the story in prose! This is a cute little story about a cheeky little monkey who only knows how to have fun in one way…. Through mischief and making messes. And who doesn’t love to have fun that way!?
Little Man is already into making HUGE messes, whether its the toy room, or just all over his face at supper time! And… it’s always a mystery to him how he got so messy!
I thought the pictures in The Cheeky Monkey were quite bright, colourful and engaging and loved the rhyming used throughout, which inspired my attempt at the above rhyming review.
One of the best things, is that this book is currently priced at only $0.99, so go check it out NOW!
